Copied from my facebook page for all those who were interested in my Tauriel costume:
After several months of frustration and with a heavy heart, I have to announce that I will no longer be making Tauriel. She was a much too ambitious project to take on and has even started to make me seriously doubt my abilities as a cosplayer. I haven't really enjoyed the process of making the costume and it has only caused me stress and anxiety. One day, in the future, I hope to return to the costume with the abilities to see the project from start to finish. I'm also planning to take a break for the rest of this year from conventions. I won't be giving up cosplay entirely and I will be definitely seeing Legolas all the way through. I also plan to continue my other projects such as OoT Zelda as these are considerably easier andI am far too addicted to cosplaying to give up now. However, for now, I will be only making small bits of progress as I start to get ready for university again. Once again, thank you to all of my lovely followers for all the support over the past few months! You all have been so wonderful and I look forward to sharing more progress of my other costumes.

A Little Update
I just realised how sad the previous journal entry looked. It has been a while and I wanted to update you all on what is going on.
I am happy to say that I was able to get three costumes this summer completed/wearable and I cannot wait to share all the pictures of Zelda with you all (it's my first zelda cosplay in two years and I am ecstatic)
Unfortunately, for cosplay, I am now back at university and away from my sewing equipment so I am on a hiatus from making costumes. However, I have brought a few supplies to make stuff if I have the time. I am now doing my masters year so I am prioritising that over cosplay.
In the meantime, I will be
Let's Talk About Cosplay

Happy Christmas
for those who celebrate and for those who don't, have a wonderful holiday.
I hope everyone has a prosperous New Year!!
The End of an Era
It's time for a change. I first started cosplaying because it was something I enjoyed and it was something I was moderately good at. I used to enjoy the creative process of making a costume and bringing a character to life. When I started cosplaying, it wasn't about how many likes or followers you had, it was just about having fun. I had fun, I had so much fun. Things have changed now, with cosplay becoming more mainstream, it's no longer feels like just a 'fun' hobby I do in my spare time. I feel like to be a good cosplayer, I need to create perfect costumes by sinking ridiculous amounts of money and time into the process just to get a few l
